PQ 10.6 Chocolate Craving

Hello Friends!

I have been sewing a lot lately.  Mostly EPP but I will share that with you later.  This post is about the last project for this season of Project Quilting.  The challenge this week was Chocolate Craving.  I really had no idea what to do.  I was actually going to skip this one because I am quilting the flannel quilts I made with my father's shirts.  I just Googled chocolate quilts and a chocolate bunny showed up in my search.  I was going to make a pillow but decided on a little wall hanging instead.  And here it is:

This measures 8x8 and was made in Monticello WI.

The bunny was a scrap piece from my stash.  The floral background was purchased at Blue Bar Quilts in Middleton.  I just loved that floral and bought a yard to put in stash.  I love quilting from what I have on hand.

PQ 10.5 Abecedarius

Hello Friends

Hope you are doing well.  I have been busy working on things lately.  I have decided to really work on an English paper piecing project.  I will show you more of it later.  It has over 2000 1 inch hexagons. :)  This post is about my Project Quilting piece.  This week the theme is Abecedarius or of the alphabet.  This weeks sponsor is Sam Hunter.  She created this book Quilt Talk.  I have used it to make my word of the year quilt for the last 3 years.  I love this book.  I love paper piecing.  I took these letters and copied them at 56%.  They are tiny.  All this talk about this and I haven't shown you a picture of what I made.  Here it is:

We pick on each other at work and say this all the time.  I thought it would be fun to put the saying to fabric.  Sam's book and letters were perfect for this.  The pillow measures 16x16.  It was made in Monticello WI.
