Hello Friends!
How have you all been? Which is odd for me to say because I don't think anyone really reads this blog. If you do, please leave a comment.
Anyway, here is what I accomplished this summer. You have seen the State Fair quilt, but I have finished a few other things. Let's dig right in. Actually, I only have 1 picture so far of what I made. Here is the Fish Quilt I made for my uncle.
When I purchased the State Fair quilt fabric, the lovely owner, Sandy, sent along this fish panel. I even called her about it because I thought it was a mistake. She said it was a gift. Little did she know that my uncle is a trout fisherman and this was perfect for him. My sister was over for a visit and I was showing her this panel. She quickly offered to go with me to the quilt shop for more fabric. The white border around the panel is actually fishing poles. I think it all turned out great. My uncle loved it!
I also made a baby quilt for a friend's daughter. And I finished a nautical fabric quilt that was part of my guilds challenge. I will post pictures of those next time.
I am currently doing a whole house purge. I am switching over from fuel oil to gas and have been mad cleaning. Even the sewing room is getting a recharge. I do have a quilt top made for a friend that I need to get quilted and in the mail next month. I will share that later also. As far as end of year sewing, that probably won't happen. I am needing to make a baby quilt for my new grandson. YES! I am going to be a grandma in March! I can't wait! But the quilt might have to wait until after the holidays.
That is all I have to share with you this time.
Have a great Fall!
Blessings
Amy
