It sure has been busy around here. I work for a software company and they had their big users group meeting this week. It sure is great to see all of the customers that we talk to everyday. I did have to be to work extra early for a parking space and as such I am tired. I have a busy weekend ahead of me with cleaning and cooking for next week. Thanks to my friend Charisma for the idea, I do meal planning. I only get paid once a month so it sure comes in handy to know what I am making ahead of time.
My friend Marilyn and I have decided to do a craft show in November. I can't wait! I have so much to do though. I hope to have some time on Sunday to do some sewing. I need to make 4 thread catchers for the sale and some coasters too.
Hope you all have a blessed weekend!

Good-bye August
Well August is almost over. I am so looking forward to September. My son will be in school and my routine will get back in order. I love routine! My sister decided to have a garage sale the second weekend in Sept. So I am going to put a table out with my sewed items and see how they do. I need to make up some business cards first. :) I have 6 bow tuck bags and about 30 coffee cozies ready. I am currently making tea towel aprons. I should have about 8 to sell. What doesn't sell will eventually go on my Etsy store. I will post photos when I get a chance.
Many blessings to any and all who read this.

Cool down :)
It's only 65 here today! Yay! Perfect day to sew. Too bad I am at work. :( My parents are having a garage sale the first weekend in September. I have decided to sell some of my purses and other small items. I will post a picture when I get them all done. If things start selling I will set up an Etsy store. :) I have a lot of sewing to do before then. Plus I am getting ready to send my son back to high school. He will be a sophmore this year. Driving! Yikes! I am so not ready for that. I am very proud of him though. He is working really hard to become a detective. He thinks he might want to work for the FBI.
I want to thank Charisma for posting this little blog on her site. Check her out here http://charismascorner.com/. She does amazing work and she is a wonderful person! She is raising money for a mission trip to Haiti. Please check out her site for the sale items.
Thanks for reading!

Too hot for sewing?????
It has been over 100 degrees here lately. I did some mending and made a small tote bag but that is it. I finally got wireless for my computer so I hope to be on here more often. Two weeks ago I was on vacation with my sister and son. We toured some historical places in Wisconsin and hung out at my sister's pool. We also tried this new frozen yogurt place called Orange Leaf. If you have one in your area I highly recommend it! We actually went twice in one week it's so good!
Well I need to finish cleaning the living room since I rearranged to move the computer.
Have a blessed week!

Too hot for anything!
I was hoping to do some sewing last night but it is too hot here. It is 10:30 in the morning and 91 degrees! They say we could reach 100! Yuck! I can handle some heat but not the humidity. I may put my air on and do some cutting but other than that nothing. I will post again when I have some photos to post. Until then, have a blessed rest of the week!

Well Good Morning and Welcome to day two! Today is my sister Lisa's birthday. She walks everyday and I thought I would join her this morning. I hope the energy kicks in soon. We will celebrate today by going out to BWW(Buffalo Wild Wings). I can't wait! I think we will then hit her pool. It is supposed to be 100 on Thursday. Yikes!
Finished a zipper bag last night. :) Really need to start those tea towel aprons.
Off to work now. Hope you have a blessed day!

Welcome!
Hello and Welcome to my new blog! I have never done this before so please bear with me. I am hoping to blog at least once a week. I will be showing pictures of my life and my hobby-sewing! :) I just finished my first full sized quilt. It is a rag quilt and took about 4 months to complete. A friend at work gave me her sewing machine in exchange for this quilt. This picture was taken before I cut it to fray it. I did the design layout myself. There is a pattern on the front and the back. My next project will be tea towel aprons. :) I hope that anyone that reads this blog will enjoy it. Please leave me a comment so I can improve this site. I will be attaching the blogs I read to this site. I love these blogs and hope you do too. Thanks for stopping by and see you soon!
